Service terms

Effective: 28 August 2026

1. About us

The Headset Hangar is operated by Oliver Barrett, trading as The Headset Hangar. Contact us at info@theheadsethangar.co.uk. Business correspondence address: The Headset Hangar, Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. This is a postal business address; customer visits and in-person drop-offs are not accepted.

2. Quote requests

Submitting the website form is an enquiry only. It does not oblige you to proceed and does not create a service contract. A quote based on photographs is an estimate because hidden damage or faults may become apparent only after physical inspection.

3. Sending your headset

Do not send a headset to our public business correspondence address. After your quote has been accepted, we will email the correct parcel address and sending instructions from info@theheadsethangar.co.uk. Remove batteries unless we specifically request otherwise. Pack the headset securely and use a tracked service with suitable compensation cover. You are responsible for the headset until it is delivered to us. We will record its apparent condition when it arrives and take reasonable care of it while it is in our possession.

4. Inspection and final quote

There is no inspection or diagnostic fee. After inspection, we will confirm the proposed work, parts, expected timescale, postage and final price. No chargeable repair or refurbishment begins without your approval. If the scope or price needs to change, we will ask for further approval before continuing.

If no fault is found, the headset cannot reasonably be repaired, or you decline the final quote, you pay only the agreed return-postage cost.

5. Contract and payment

A contract is formed only when you accept the final quote and we confirm that we will carry out the work. Payment is by bank transfer using the details supplied directly by us. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is required before chargeable work begins. Never make payment to bank details sent from any address other than our official business email without checking with us.

6. Cancellation

Consumers who agree the service at a distance will normally have 14 days from contract formation to cancel. We will not begin chargeable work during that period unless you expressly request an earlier start. If you request an early start and then cancel after work has begun, you may be charged a proportionate amount for work already performed and agreed costs already incurred. Once the service has been fully performed following your express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end. This does not affect rights relating to faulty or improperly performed work.

7. Parts, testing and turnaround

Replacement parts may be new, compatible or refurbished as stated in the final quote. Timescales depend on the condition of the headset and parts availability and are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Checks are limited to the scope described in the final quote and are not represented as manufacturer-authorised certification. You should complete the normal pre-use checks required for your operation before relying on the headset.

8. Return delivery

Sending and return-postage costs are calculated in the quote. Check the delivery address you provide. We will use an appropriate tracked service and provide dispatch information where available. Contact us promptly if a returned parcel appears damaged or does not arrive.

9. Problems with our work

Every refurbishment is assessed and quoted individually. If you experience a problem connected to the work completed, contact us promptly and we will assess it and offer an appropriate next step. Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory rights, including any right to repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction where the law requires it.

10. Responsibility

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, ordinary wear, inaccurate information supplied to us, unsuitable packaging before delivery, or failures outside the agreed scope of work.

11. Complaints and law

Please email complaints to info@theheadsethangar.co.uk with your name, headset details and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge messages within 24 hours and will try to resolve matters fairly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections available to you and may bring proceedings in the courts available under applicable consumer law.
